I cant get into my aol email. Say I need active x and something else. I thought I installed in but no luck. I can get to it with internet explorer. Rather not use 2 browsers. Any ideas?

Stick with IE only?
Just curious, what's the advantage of Opera?

Probably a lot less prone to attacks than IE too, right?
I use Firefox myself. Tried Opera a couple of years back but it was (at the time) not much different than FF.
At any rate, what might help is if you completely uninstall activeX and whatever else you were told to install, then reinstall.

You can get the Active X plugin for Firefox HERE
Don't think there is one for Opera.
However...
Active X is one of the main reasons that Internet Exploder is so prone to hijack.
Installing it into Firefox makes it about as insecure as IE.
If you MUST have IE, get the IE8 version and try it.

I tried IE8 and didnt like it. Very buggy. I would go try try and post and it wouldnt let me type in the little white box. I tried it many months ago before now and while I know it wasnt even at the stage now. It still sucked.

It would do other weird things such as not display a page correctly. Just wasnt fond of IE8. IE7 is ok but Ive been trryingother browsers and Opera seems to work great excpet for me not getting access to aol.

try google chrome... I just started using it, and I love it.
Some minor issues with java that I have run into so far, but they should be taken care of in the next update... its a brand new browser.

I don't know man, I'm wary of Google(tm). They already dominate search engines, they've got their hooks in with gmail and are trying to get the world to store their sensitive business data in their servers.

The best thing about Google(tm) is that pic where the double ohs are a woman's breasts and the caption says something like "Google, what you really use it for". I'd post it up but I'm not sure it's work safe.
Google Advanced Image Search is the poor man's porn shop.

A bit off-topic, but if you like Google Image Search, you need to try the Cool Iris plug-in for Firefox.
After trying it, it's the ONLY way to search for images online.
