Low traction light; cynical humor?

I'm just wondering if I'm the only one but..

When you're out driving the 'bird and pushing it hard with TCS off and get tire squeak or audible noise from traction loss does anybody else get a kick from your dashboard telling you "low traction" with that funny little light? For some reason I find it hilarious, "Really, I hear my tires squeaking and you have to tell me I don't have traction??"

i kinda like it.

i dont have traction control.but when i gave a buddy of mine a ride in the bird i down shifted to 3rd and hammered it and it came on. I was going like 70mph-he was like "wholey sh** man I wish my a4 lt1 is half as fast as this"lol

maybe its just me and the texas ls1's around here but the only time i've ever seen the Low Trac light come on while TCS was off was when you pull the e-brake or slam on the brakes real hard...

Nope mine comes on if I get into it in 1st-3rd

Mine has done this a couple times but only while down shifting and getting on it hard. The car is an m-6 w/o the traction control option.

If u downshift at too high of a speed(RPM) it applys the ABS and the Low Trac light comes on for me

Mine comes on in rain a lot, and stays on in snow.. I can burn them all day and it wont come on.. wierd.

Mine doesnt normally come on when i roll from 1st and punch it but the other day it did, kinda weird. I didnt even spin them more than usual.

Hmmmm.... With TCS on mine comes on almost everytime I hit it and it shifts from 1-2 and 2-3. My tires are like new and it's an A4.

If your "low traction" light is coming on when your TCS is OFF, then you probably have a dirty abs sensor. Its magnetic and collects lots of metal so be carefull when cleaning it bare handed.

mine only does that with my stupid junk traction control on...

Mine only somes on when I DO something stupid. Like shifting down when I shouldnt, way to quickly.

Im with Spaz. The only time my light comes on is when the TCS is turned on. Turn it off, no more light. I do have a skip shift eliminator but doubt it has anything to do with it. The car is an M6
