Repair Plastic Bumper on DD??

Can I use plastic repair for this? I was thinking of putting a washer on the underside of the bumper to support it, than glue everything back together.

A primered bumper cover for my SpecV is around 100 alone. I need to get a new absorber and bumper support so I was trying to save on a whole new bumper just because of this small crack. I'd obviously have to sand the inside some and use a harsh cleaner but plastic repair should make it at least workable right?

It actually doesn't need to be because that part of the bumper matches up with the fender you can't see it. It's just a summer daily driver to me and I don't see the point of spending the extra cash if I don't have to. I just want to make sure that the bumper repair glue is worth it. Why try to fix something if the bumper repair glue is crap right?

You can use an old soildering iron and melt it back together, do both sides for max strength.

if it were me i would go with bonding epoxy that you mix......i have used that stuff for various projects, it works great

just make sure its good for plastics, some epoxies will literally turn plastic to goo

+1 ^ there is stuff called plastic weld it is a two part epoxy that you mix and apply, after you clean it good. I have got it at autozone in the past.

3m and others make plastic repair materials that work wonders. However, if you really want to go cheap drill a hole through the cover and the fender and put a damn screw through it. Will work fine.
