I will never do the K&N style CAI again. With the filter sitting so low underneath the car, I assume a speed bump got to it (didn't hear or feel anything) and the filter got bent. Upon getting ready to install the new filter later that evening, I found the old filter to be missing! I'm assuming it got bumped hard enough that it actually loosened up to that point, and fell off. So for that reason alone I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I would definetly go with the K&N set up. I've had both set ups and the K&N has a bigger air reserve and you will definetly not like the looks of the lingenfelter CIA (very poor exterior moldings looks).

im tryin to get rid of my k&n cold air kit... filter needs cleaning but other then that no probs. I bought a ram air hood when a tree fell on my car and fucked up the stocker, so i basically got free
so i went with a ram air intake.... and considering i just blew my tranny, im in need of some dough.

The lingenfelter unit sits in a cavity between the fender and fender well. It's surrounded by plastic and fiberglass. I have one sitting in my garage if your interested.
