so what would you suggest the tank is about 3 gallons a fill up, I had bought the lube control additive didn't like it still had it around so i cut the measuring part off. It's has a 1/2 and 1 oz mark so should i just stick with 1/2.

ok thank's any thoughts on seafoam I was gonna fun half a can in the oil then feed the other half through the house drive it for 20miles then do a oil change any thoughts on this or reasons not to. I know that breaking up some carbon can cause leaks but I drive long distances alot and I'd rather them break up and now so I can fix em instead of breaking down somewhere the car doesn't really burn oil or none that i can tell inbetween oil changes. Also cats are going to be replaced anyways so I'm not worried about those as i've heard seafoam as been know to cause the cats to break down.

I would say it would smoke and run poorly if it was mixed heavy. If it was light it wouldnt have the full effects of a normal dose, thus being about useless. I dont think any real harm could come unless you were a complete idiot and put a quart in.

I dont care for solvents. I know SeaFoam has been around forever. But the way it cleans is intrusive and leaves residue on your bearings etc. that cannot do any long term good. I highly recommend a thorough non intrusive and total cleaning utilizing AutoRX. http://www.auto-rx.com/

Too light and you get no benefit. Too heavy and you may smoke a bit. Just keep it to around 1oz to 5 gallons. This is on the light side. Many have been utilizing 1oz to 3 gallons with no ill effects and all the positives.

Got a question for ya sarge. I've been using FP60 for awhile, is there any benefit in switching to the 2 stroke marine oil...besides the price. If the marine oil is better then i'll switch...otherwise i'll just keep using FP60 and eat the extra cost.

I recommended FP60 for a long time. It works well. But the 2 stroke oil works just better for a fraction of the cost. Too much data to deny it in my eyes. So just use up your FP60 and try the 2stroke solution. I do see/feel better results with the 2stroke mix than with FP60.

I would like to hear what real data you have that shows this offers any real benifet other than the standard "it idles smoother" or gas mileage improvements. Both those items are subjective, and everyone knows that gas mileage is not a proven measure since there are way too many factors that influence it (air temp, wind speed, road surface, tire pressure, driver habits, barometric pressure, vehicle loading, air cond use, etc etc etc) and most owners don't measure it consistently.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it doesn't help, but I would like to see some real data that shows it does what you say.

Well firstly nobody is selling you anything. We test/experiment with all kinds of modifications etc. here and share our own real world observations versus some marketing bullshit. Yes I agree on many outside influences on the MPG....but also suggest once the MPG is up and stays up over a sustained period you have gained something. Log your data....give us your own real world data...that is what this thread is all about...testing and logging members own data.

So far we ( our test folks all over) have over 6 months and well over 1 million miles of data.....average across the breadth of the car manufacturer/engine etc. is a 2% increase in MPG and a definite smoother running engine....no negatives as of yet....
I can confirm my findings.....about a 2mph increase in the Silverado....most definetly a quieter/smoother engine.....the GTO likes it....starts quicker...a guy said on the test forum he is also seeing a quicker start and credits the oil/gas mixture with cleaner plugs and more importantly cleaner lubricated injectors.....I cant deny nor confirm that but can confirm the quicker start up and MPG increase for sure.....will keep doing it.....
