Small Vista problem
Despite all the bad words about vista i like it, except for one problem.
Every hour or so my ie usage skyrockets to 400k or above... even once it was over a million... but point being it just kinda malfunctions and i have to end process and reboot ie... not a huge problem... but a problem so does anyone know how to fix that or if it i a common problem... or perhaps just my computer?
btw i typically have ls1.com and facebook open tabbed windows... and occasionaly one or two other random sites in other tabs

That's a lot of processes running as well.. I would try this, go to your start search, type in msconfig, and disable your startup items, go the next tab and click where it says hide all microsoft services, and then click disable all again.
Then, you will have to restart your computer. So restart it, and see what it does at that point. You probably have TONS of extra programs running in the background that aren't neccessary. It happens all the time.

Lol, you could have already done it. All you do is click start, then type msconfig and you're there!
