Daily driver?
Background
Drive 100 miles round trip to work every day 5 days a week.
my daily driver is either a 91 or 85 chevy 305 pickup.
Both get 17 highway.
With my calculations if I go out and buy a hyundai Sonata manual for 13k with 30+ highway my savings a month would cover 90% of the car payment.
I got a small bonus at work that i would use as money down, to make the payments lower.
Any opinions on if you think its good? any other cars?
Don't be afraid to speak your mind.

I think you should go for the sonata, and sell one of the other cars. Then you might be able to make back 100% of what you pay for it.

Prius, Yaris.
I don't know much about Hyundai.
The new Civics seem pretty cool too.

I have a 05 Toyota Corolla...I freaking hate the thing. the latest problem was the intake air gasket failed in cold temp, I have less than 50K on it. Toyota says its now my problem. Toyota's service SUCKS!! I would get a Honda.

Honda is having a sale right now at least by me on the new civic, hyundai is actually really coming a long way at making a quality product, or you could even go for a chevy cobalt. Civic might just be out of your budget though. I don't know what you are looking to spend.
I would likely buy an american ecotec car for that kinda travel. They are good on gas and the parts are inexpensive when you need to repair

Does it have to be a new car? Would you buy used? You can pick up a cheap grand am, hyundai etc and save yourself some money there too

Pontiac G6 with the V6 and I get between 31-36mpg on the highway. better than any auto 4cyl. I ever had. 3.5v6 is just amazing on the highway.
