o2 sensors ?
hey dudes,
is it recomended that u change the o2 sensors even if u dont get the chek engine light, to help gas milage? cause i talked to a friend and, i was told by him that ur not supose to changr them unless the light is on.

Never heard changing them if nothing is wrong (indications). Save your money...no benifit here.

Its for the old 1 wire o2s they use exhaust heat to reach operating temp wich takes a long time they get dirty and dont work as good ls1 cars have 3 wire o2 sensors one wire heats the o2 sensor so it works faster

over time though even the newer sensors will foul and start drifting. I personally don't change them unless I notice something unusual but they are a maintenance item and you won't always get a light.

You change plugs before a missfire code so why not the o2s... I still havent got around to buying new ones tho

yeah, im a bit low on cash flow. so im trying to spend my money for my beast right, lol. If i have to ill buy both to do the job right the first time, and it also woulnt hurt since the vehicle is a 2000 65000miles. so do u guys strongly recomend to or jus wait it out, i need some fellow ls1 owners opinions lol but ya thanks for the good input dudes, o and also to help gas mileage its plugs, air filter and o2s right, and wires. just want to make sure i have everything coverd for the beast. thanks this websites the shit! bythe way. lol

o and orion i really wanted a formula but coulndt fine one cheap enough, they are freakn super rare, but yeah out of the subject but had to point that out that car is the shit lol.
