It's highly unlikely you'll find SAP grills at the dealership. They have been discontinued and are very expensive if you can find them.
There were some people making repros last I checked. I'll see if I can get a link for ya.
Here's the real deal.

Here's someone selling repros.

I wouldn't mind changing my grille out with these though. One less place to tell the avg. person what my car is.

I think they come as the bezel and the grill itself (with instalation hardware). If I remember correctly, you'll have to prep/primer/paint them. You can get the bezels only and put whatever mesh you like on it.
The originals are very spendy. After they quit making them, there were no alternatives for the SAP style, so it wasn't uncommon to see SAP grilles go for $500+ on ebay.
Looks good Sarge, I like the RaceMesh also. They don't come with the recessed bezels do they?

Forget about the grill work, who did the paint work on the car?? The wet sanding must have been excellent. I cannot see a blemish anywhere on the hood. The hood has the appearance that no amount of buffing, polishing, or wax layering can produce. Nice work!

I have a 1970 saab sonett3 factory fiberglass rally car ,car #29 of 303 built in 70 and just 7000 built in its run....all kinds of custom work including a supercharged honda drivetrain. took 4 years to get it done and its a sweet ride (looks like a baby ferrari) I just wish I had more time to work on the goat so I can get it finished, looking great and one of a kind.
