I read that synthetic isn't any good for performance auto trans. I only use....valvoline ATF. I've got a B&M 24,000 in front of the a/c condensor.

Hey John

Well I've been taking a really long time (with help from friends) to do my stall swap. The trans and converter are out, I just had to clean it up. I'm signed up for the drags at the california speedway on Monday. So to answer your question, no not running at the moment. But hopefully Saturday I'll get the converter installed and have it ready to race.

You going to the Lowes this weekend? My driver and a couple buddies are out there right now just to watch the 600. Although my driver was sited at RCR and was interviewed on the nascar racing network radio.

As far as LMS goes, I am giving it as wide a berth as I can. That place gets busy. I'm gonna be in downtown Charlotte tonight and tomorrow night for Speed Street. They close the square downtown and bring in lots of vendors, sponsors, and entertainment. Kellie Pickler and Seether are two of 'em here tonight. Travis Tritt is tomorrow. Lots of other bands too. There's like three different stages set up.

I get to "hear" the races from my house. Years ago I had a friend in HS whose brother was on Tim Richmond's pit crew. I used to go to (then) Charlotte Motor Speedway all the time back then. That was in the 'good old boy' days. Hell we used to park in a nearby trailer park (find a vacant one) and then take our lives in our own hands hauling ass across a pasture with a mean ass bull chasing us, just to save a buck or two for parking. Now that "pasture" IS parking and that bull became a bunch of Big Macs many moons ago!!

Yeah....nascar and it's fans have changed a little over the years. But I hear ya on avoiding all the crowds. That can get old.....fast. The times I've been out there, well let's just say I've never seen downtown Charlotte. It's all the race track and shops.

I don't think I'd call my camaro an investment.....more like "extremely bad choices and decisions while living with insanity". I'm hoping all goes well and get to the races on Monday. I'll have a report on Tuesday for everyone.
