    Thats a beautiful cat, if you are concerned about your safety and everyone else around you, do what spaz suggested and notify the correct people. So many people would do the wrong thing and jus shoot it.

    Had one around when I lived with my parents on their farm, we had to call the game warden to come and catch it. My parents got tired of it after it killed a few of the smaller animals, and since you are not allowed to shoot them in Tennessee the game wardens have to trap them.

    if you own live stock you can shoot them... a buisness owner has the right to protect his buiness and property... trapping is still the right thing to do... they were here before us...

    maybe its a runt cougar or really young? I can see how they would think its not a cougar as its not real muscular looking. The cougars in your area and mine in the mountains are like 210 lbs full grown. That cat is clearly not that large.
