Brass Headlight Gear
anyone know where i can get a brass headlight gear for the headlight motors on my 99 T/A?

check ebay or just google it. in the headlight writeups they usually provide a link to get the brass gear. they're $50 a piece. i simply took my motor apart and flipped the gear around.

Use this. This is who I ordered mine through. I just swapped it out last sunday and finished it up on monday. Once you pull the housing apart and epoxy it back together it is supposed to cure for 24 hours.

i took the free way and just flipped the gear, i heard the brass gear can make your actual motor go out? cause of the weight? thats why ive been hesitant on buying

oh... well im gonna get the gears anyway, just to see. if it doesnt work out, then im just gonna get new motors.

Don't just buy the gear, you MUST also buy the brace that holds the housing together if you want to do the repair properly. Plus, you may want to get the aluminum gear. Here is the link:

just flip it and try that. saves mad $$$$. you just have to install the motor correctly... that's the hard part. take a good look at ur other side headlight.
