ok im goin down the road about to get some arbys with my girl friend down town and I notice this 100% stock looking 84 faided grey camaro no ground effect no iroc hood no badges NOTHING from the distance kind of weaving through traffic I could tell he was trying to catch up finally we linded up at the stop light I look over and see a middle aged 40's guy with a feathered mullet and a older chick with a curly blonde perm I was thinking my god strait from the trailer park, he looked over and reved at me and i'm thinkin "ok buddy how much crack you been smoking today" light turns green and we hit it we both hooked real nice although I do have the A4 and I let off the pedal at a bad moment "i did not expect him to be to much i thought it was a stock 305" when I tryed to regain speed I did not catch gear to well, he took me by almost 2 car lengths I was shocked we lined up at the next light and he was like "love those LS1's sharp lookin T/A then I asked "what u do to that man" hes like 383 stroker bunch of other mods then he turned right I tell ya thats the best sleeper I have ever seen bet he shocks people all around town every day with that thing. I wonder what kinda numbers he was puttin down

Best guestimate, 400 to 450HP.
If he hooked well, probably got a good bit spent in his suspension.

yeah a 383 stroker is no joke. i did alot of research on them and was getting ready to put one in my mint '87 iroc but it was so original i couldnt bring myself to do it. those motors have gobbs of torque, if he was close to 400 hp i'm willing to bet it had in the neighborhood of 450ft lbs of torque. 400 hp would be a weaker stroker motor most i looked at were in the 450-500 hp range.

ya definatly a honerable beating, what color is yer 87 IROC? i love those late 80's irocs i think they look the best out of the third gens i used to have a maroon one had to get rid of it though I miss it....
