Black- 2002 Camaro SS SLP
i got my camaro over a week ago, to my knowlge there isnt many things that go wrong with theses cars.. i could be wrong. but if u look at a car, u can always know if theres something wrong, i looked at the miles on it. and damage, if any. on my case i got lucky, mine was low miles, no damage, a good price, and still had warrenty from GM, now thats a win win deal
i would also look around for prices. a good price i have seem to find is around 17k btw. anyways good luck.

one thing to look for is take the car for a test drive and make sure u dont hear any howling in the rear end ..... as they can blow easily if they are abused ...also if u want a T-top ask if u can pour water over the seals to see if it leaks ( same goes with a vert) and make sure the engine is not knocking
, other then that , thats all i can really think of

Check the top of the water pump for crystallized coolant. Most people don't even know they have a water pump problem. Smell the engine compartment for burning coolant as well. Make sure clutch doesn't stick to floor and gears shift ok. If it is an A4, pull the transmission fluid dipstick and see if the fluid is burnt, or if you see little black chunks floating in it, thats clutch material, all of course while making sure there are no metal shavings in it. Check tire wear and brake rotor quality. This will be the first indicator if they beat the piss out of the car. Lastly ask for the maintenance records to see if all the fluids have been changed. Not just oil, but trans, pwr steering, coolant, brake, and rear end. Check air filter too. All this will show you where you stand if you choose to purchase the vehicle, as in $$ you will have to put into it. Good luck!!!

Before buying any car you should have a qualified mechanic take a look at the car. I took my to a chevy dealership and had the check out everything. I spent like 169 odd dollars but it gave me peace of mind. Make sure a/c works, no leaks, no "funny noises," make sure windows roll up and down
. Our cars are known for window failure.

i will just add to the already great advice.
check the engine oil for shavings, check the rear end the windows, check for mismatched/repainted fenders by looking at factory spot welds in the rear lip of the fenders, mismatched or not alighning doors, listen to the motor, make sure you can do a burnout in the car to make sure the rear is working fine, pretty much all i can think of.

if you can't do a burnout without powerbreaking it don't buy it. it will run like shit its whole life. might as well take the shotgun to it to take it out of its misery.
