The GTO should have been the throwback to the mid 60s GTO with the stacked headlights, only because its been so long since they made it.

I guess this applies the same with the challenger.

The camaro has not even been a decade off since 2002 (hopefully) they should have just evolved it

The GTO was already a Holden car .. They just threw some Badges and mixed the front end of the Monaro up a little ...it was not a car that started out a GTO on the drawing board ..

it pains me to say this but I was in one of the new Rustangs last year and I actually kind of like their interior design better then some of the GM designs

Which is actually reasonable for the quality and exclusivness you get with that car. I mean you can actually watch them build your car.

The only problem is the new Rustang design has been out for a few years, by the time the Camaro actually makes it out to show room floors the current muscle car/ retro craze will be at a decline and as Spaz said, GM will miss the mark again.

It's kind of expected from the people that pulled the f-bodys right before the current muscle car craze.

As far as interiors go, the nicer it is, the more the car company feels they can charge you. I know some expensive cars have crappy ones and sometimes cheaper cars have nice ones, but that is usually not the case. Most companies use plastic because its lightweight and cheap, obviously. While the Challenger's interior may not be the greatest, its not the worst either. It looks like a Charger's with some different pieces, that doesn't bother me that much, it could look worse.

I've found that no matter what the car company does with a car, people will always find something to bitch and complain about.

However as far as GM goes and with that in mind, I'm still pissed at most of their decisions lately (the new truck designs for one) and I have been a GM fan for years.

VERY much so... their design dept has gone to shit... who ever heads that should be fired... they need some one fresh new and has a damn clue how to visually captivate the publics intrest...

As much as I liked the dodge ram design, for overall vehicle I've always preferred GM trucks and I really like my Silverado but the new ones almost make me want to go with a Ford truck (which is really sad).

comparing the styling of GM's trucks to Dodge and ford... GM makes me sad... i wish some one in GM that is on executive level would read this... but then again even if they would i'm sure they would think and say "well... you may not like it but others do..." and continue down thier path of failure...

The pathetic thing is I'm really starting to like the Saturn desgins, which has always been like the step child in the GM family.
