    i see what you are saying... but theres no shifting... and just the cost of a built auto that will withstand what i want to do... that a stock t-56 could handle...

    If he wants a 'budgeted' drag/street car, than a t-56 is the smarter way to go. $2000-2500 for an auto transmission + $600-900 torque converter.
    But a stalled auto is a lot of fun. His mind is set though.

    its got me thinking... but i dont think it would be as much fun... i guess it kind of comes down to... does the t-56 reallllly handle 550 rwhp perfectly fine? or is that pushingit? and will ithandle a possible 300 shot... and if not... will a stage v rpm tranny hold up to that... im a newbie on what the trannys can hold
