yeah the tranny shit out on me last wednesday. no forward gears, just reverse. i got one hell of a great trade in value for the Exploder towards a 2005 Chevy Colorado Z71 Crew Cab that only has 17,100 miles...

Sarah likes it alot, and for the price i got it for was freaking sweet!!!

From what you've mentioned about the exploder before.......it was on it's last legs. I knew you wouldn't get something without a hell of a deal! Nice choice in getting the Colorado. I posted in your thread for your new truck too.

anyone know the rules/requirements for ennis such as helmet,drive shaft loops, etc for 12-13 second range?

Most tracks want you to have d/s safety loop if 11.5 or under.

yeah, i replied...

it was, but we were hoping it would last atleast 6 more months...

basically, i got it for $4300 less than the sticker showed on the lot, or $2200 less than the internet price they had it listed at, including the trade in value they gave me on a truck that was driviable in only reverse. so i got the Exploder off my hands and didnt have to deal with it. the Exploder served it's purpose and now im pretty much set on cars for quite sometime. looking to have the SS paid off in Sept, so floating two car payments for a couple months is ok...

i had quotes from $600 (probably a 'bandaid fix') to well over $3000 for a new rebuilt tranny. i paid $2500 for the Exploder, so fixing it, and still hoping it would be reliable, and putting money into it that I would never get back were a few points in just letting go of it...

not sure where else i could have gotten what i did for the price i got the truck at and the milage. 3 yrs old and 17k miles on it, one owner...

previous owner did most of it - keith craft build and tune (to lazy to list the details), stage 2 ported heads, ls6 intake, G2 airlid, Mac mid-lengths, Mac ORY, Borla, G2 stb, Spohn sway bars, panhard, LCA, LCA relocation brackets, eibach sportlines, billsteins

423/391 at the wheels - hopefully gettin a spohn torque arm before the 4th - want to do a throttlebody as well - i think the factory one is choking my air supply - whats your opinion on the throttle body for those who have done it? noticeable difference?

i was looking at that torque arm - the guy at keith craft says he prefers the tranny mounted one for street/occasional strip cars

i think i would have clearance issues with that one - are you lowered at all?

arent you running low 8's in the 1/8th? - think the best ive musterd out was a mid 8 - right behind kealap and he swapped in a 6.0 - very similar build/mods to mine on his SS and hes about 30 whp over me

8.11... but highway you would clean me out... and you can beat me in the 1/8th... just cuz you dont have a better timeslip dont mean you arent faster... right now its just me and lupe in our own class of headers back exhaust and short shifters with dr's

i knew you got them though
