Common guys, i know the movie was stupid but you have to admit some imports are very fast.
I own both a f-body + a 1996 evolution 3 and it can outhandle anything on the street ,it build better, part are cheaper and it`s just as fast as a f-body ( both cars stock)
The f-body do look better, sound great. But that`s it for the f-body. But i do prefer my camaro over the evo

yah and when you spit a timgin belt on your 4g63-t and eat a valve ill LOL!
Ive had a few dsms and played with a lancer of a buddies......Ive never had good luck with awd mitusu's............
Ive went through 4 4g63-t's that i built and 3 that a well known shop built........
I was verrrrry hard on those cars on purpose......my 95 t/a could out handle any dsm i had and outran them at the track too
oh yah and never blew motor up

i know from first hand it takes really good parts to build a 4g63t faster than a ls1 car.......and they still dont last long

I dumped soooooo much money into dsm motors only to be let down many times.......minor bolt ons with my lt1 was fast and took beating w/o going
BOOM clack clack.....gingle ping snap then smoooooooooooke......
I just desribed what a dsm sounds like kinda when blowin up lol

Well my evo3 ran a best time of 13.15 at 100 mph stock
MY f-body did it at 13.09 at 108 mph stock
And please dont compare the dsm with the early jdm evolutions.
Yes the have the almost the same engines but wen it comes to handeling ill bet you 100 buck it can outhandle your f-body and almost anything you can throw at it.
Yes they are very sensitve to tuning and the motors do like to blowup.
But so do are rearends. But like i sad i do prefer the f-body

Was I the only one that liked the first one? I mean, it was entertaining enough for me to not call it boring and it captured the love for the race of the quarter mile.
I thought the other ones were atrocious.

If i was close to you id take that bet of 100 bux.......be nice to have lil xtra gas money lol......
My (old lt1/m6) trans am tore up a lancer(unknown version) on a auto-x track and dont care.....it was stock with good tires.
my t/a was stock minus a swapped rear swap bar(thicker from a 3rd gen) and tires.......awd isnt gods gift like all tuners think it is.........
But anyways back to thread subject.........i liked FnF series til i woke up and relized how fake and stupid the import scene was.............
i have owned.........not at one time but in course of 2 yrs
3 mk3 supras......(and a parts one)
dozen or so talons(a lot were under 300 bux, most had no titles...race only cars..)
a lancer(not on title but i did pay a few payments for a buddy haha)
then one day i opened eyes back up and went back to gm and never thought about leaving again
bought me a lt1/m6 trans am and a "few 3rd gens"

lol thats like me, i had 3 eclipses before i went into GM/Ford again. Dont know how it happened but I went from a mustang guy to eclipses? WTF?
-

I liked the first one but did you ever notice... in the race where he bets his eclipse, and blows the welds off his floorpan, that they go in a straight line, never turn or anything, and end up back in the same place they started... lol

almost as bad as the 4 reverse gears, and the semi-truck trannies

we all go though a ricer time in our life.......then it hits us to grow up and drive real cars and throw away the ceral box cars. I sold all my imports for 3000 dollars(worth prolly 10k lol) but i wanted the 95 t/a so badly and i didnt care for imports anymore

Ill see FnF4.........everyone i know will go see it, but we dont drive our f-bodies.......so ricers wont mess with them

ewww if your talkin about the 350z, the vg30(iirc) is crammed so tightly into motor bay its a pita just to work on on! If you think a 4th gen is bad.......you dont know how evil it is..........
I worked(back when i loved rice) in a jap performance shop....................eek ill never do that mistake again
-
02-03-2008, 07:47 PM #58
really? they're that bad to work on huh? I've never messed with one, I drove one and it was pretty fun to drive....
but if it's harder to work on than an ls1.... :ee2:
