please help ls2 heads on an ls1
OK here is what I've got a question about. i have a 100% stock 00 SS. my buddy has a 07 vet, he just swapped heads, and told me he thinks that his old heads (200miles on then comp. DB springs and pushrods) will be a great upgrade for my car. but this guy has more money then knowledge. and i don't know if he even knows what he is talking about. any info will be very helpful i can get the heads for $550.00 and the springs he just put in there were like $360.00. what I'm trying to do guys is get a 400 rwhp car for the least amount of money any help would be great thanks guys. or should i just stay with my stock heads? b/c in going to do cam headers and ls6 intake eather way

get them now and hold on to them till you are ready to slap in the cam, lts, intake, and tune.

since your buddy has more money then brains tell him to cut you a deal on the heads maybe you can get them for less and that way you save money for a cam, long tubes, cutout, tune, and lid

how much of a power increase would you see/feel with 243 heads from 806 heads?

i was under the impression that they will lower your compression ratio that is why people use them to get a couple more pounds of boost from a forced induction setup but i do not know if you will get a gain or not from them.

they flow better than the other previous heads. you will not see much of a gain with just a head swap. if you have an ls6 manifold, lts, stall (if its an a4), and a cam that compliments the heads you will pick up some nice power. if you get the heads ported and all of the above, you would be over 400 hp.
