One big plus to 360 is the online game downloads. I'm not sure if PS3 has this or not, but i have downloaded the original NES Contra and the Ninja Turtles arcade game from xbox live. There is alot of other games/tv shows/movies you can download off of it.

Can someone explain to me how the 360 plays HD games but yet they can't play HD movies. What I mean by that is, That if a DVD9 disc can't fit all the content that it takes to make it HD quality movie. How can they make a game fit and be in HD quality when games take way more space then movies. just a thought I had.

PS3 does have the capability to download games as well. PS3 FTW. It's more powerful, has Blu-ray built in and it's free to play online. Yes it is more expensive but with the Blu-ray and included online play it more than makes up for it.

yes ps3 has blu ray, you don't have to pay to play online. The cool thing is that it is much easier to navigate than the 360, i've had both. The ps3 can do the same thing, download movie trailers, game demos, add ons. The other thing is it has blue tooth. I love talking without having a headset plugged into a controller, i'd rather have a small blue tooth headset, which i have. PS3.

Pretty sure reg DVD9 movies and games are just upconverted to HD...PS3 does the same thing except for the blu-ray movies. No console game out there yet takes up more room then the 9 gigs on a DVD9 disc.
You get what you pay for...I wouldn't want to play on a free online service. You don't have much leverage to complain when you can't get a lag free or disconnect free game going...
The 360 interface is very straight forward..the PSP..err..PS3
interface isn't any easier. There's a wireless headset for the 360...
Can you rent full length HD movies through the PS3 also? What about downloading full length orginal games from the PS1 or PS2? No? Weird...you can on Live...only they're Xbox games and about 400 movies that are updated daily. Funny what 5 bucks a month gets you...that's about all it is with a year subscription.

i have both, i mostly use the PS3 for movies and exclusive games, and the 360 for all else. I mostly play online, and playing the PS3 online is garbage, like someone said you pay for what you get, and online play is where the 360 really shows how great it is. But comparing the 2 overall i really couldnt choose, most people on here probably have only read what others say and have not owned either consel so they are biased. Its a tossup.

Well I just saw the going prices for both and we already know the price of a PS3, but at fye, there were selling an Xbox 360 with 2 games for $349. Kinda hard to beat that.

depends... the 360 has so many differnet versions, it gets confusing. they sell the regular xbox 360 for like $280. but that doesnt come with a hard drive, or a wireless controller. the hard drive is pretty much necessary, and the package with those 2 is about $350. what games are they including? cuz ltos of times they will keep the price the same, but add 2 crappy nonselling games for free lol

[QUOTE=SeVeReDiStOrTiOn;1189908]Pretty sure reg DVD9 movies and games are just upconverted to HD...PS3 does the same thing except for the blu-ray movies. No console game out there yet takes up more room then the 9 gigs on a DVD9 disc.
Your wrong the ps3 doesn't need to upconvert any of their games because there all blu ray. and second check your facts Lair for the ps3 is 25 gig game look it up and besides dvd9 disc can only be converted to NEAR HD qaulity not 720 or 1080i/p there just upconverted to picture better then 480
I think both systems are good systems but the ps3 is just more advanced then the 360. plus the failure rate of 70% on 360's is scary plus you can't access the internet, its not wi-fi. nor bluetooth, it can't play hd movies unless you spend another $179.the failure rate on a ps3 is far less. You can have up to 7 players on a ps3 all bluetooth you can charge and play at the sametime (I'm unsure if you can do the on a 360) plus the ps3 has free online play ( yes i know the 360's online is better but mine is free) the ps3 has a 2.5
sata internal hard drive which can be removed for a larger hard drive how about a 160gig ps3.
And they now have 200gig blu ray disc. Lets see that with a dvd9. please google it before you reply
play what you want to play but don't say the ps3 isn't a better system when it clearly is the only thing the 360 has going for it is its mass amount of games it has for it. which is great by the way thats my only complaint about the ps3 but then again the ps3 has only been out for a year while the 360 has been out for 2 1/2 years and 70% of those are broke and being repaired.

I used to have a SE Halo Xbox 360. The red ring of death showed up after less than 20 hours of use. I had to return it, but at least it lasted long enough to get me through the Halo 3 story line.
The 360 was a lot of fun and I'll get another one if I can confirm that the current models use the two 65nm chips (vs. the 90nm ones)...
