Fuel Pressure Regulator Issue
I plan to put a Vortec 6.0L engine and trans. in my 1985 S10 pickup truck. I have a 15 gal. fuel cell in the bed and have a 58psi Corvette fuel filter/regulator mounted with a Walbro 255 external pump and will run only one fuel line to the rail. My question is what do I do with the OEM fuel pressure regulator on the rail. Of course I have to block off the end of the fuel rail, but should I just remove the vacuum line and plug it and be done or is something else I should do and will the constant 58 psi cause a over rich condition at idle due to the constant 58psi that the PCM may not be able to compensate for at idle?

The fuel pressure regulator is contained in the stock fuel bucket, not on the rail. That may be part of the evaporative emissions system, if you are referring to the small can on the driver side above the rocker cover.

That small can on the drivers side fuel rail is the fuel pressure dampener.
Ported/Polished throttle body, Lingenfelter launch module, SLP line lock, QTP exhaust cutout, LS7 clutch, K&N, Ceramic coated longtubes, no cats, 3" exhaust, Flowmaster "B", Eibach springs, Midwest Chassis 9" rearend w/4.10's
