Heres my setup, Panasonic H/U, Pioneer amplifier, 4-10" Xtant subs in a box I built and covered a-la Subthump style. I put the system on the back-burner for a while due to finances (needs a differential and shocks) and then I'll get around to getting a 4ch. amp and some components for it. Only thing I'm unsure of is where to mount the tweets in the doors (base stereo package, no factory tweeter location).
The 4th 10" is mounted in the bottom of the box facing down into the storage area.

I have stock system with a blown paper cone right rear panel speaker.
And to think In High School I had a $5k dollar stereo system in a 2,000 dollar car. LOL.. Man how my priorities have changed.

Thanks WS6Dream, I have had these 4-10" subs for a number of years now, actually. I bought my first 2 10" subs as a buy one get one free at the car audio shop, then a year later, bought the 2nd set the same way, same price even, however, I have mismatched pairs, unfortunately, and that makes wiring a total bitch. I've got two 4ohm SVC subs and two 4ohm DVC subs. I really need to get another amp, I had two, but one got submerged in water and that was the end of that, however, I have them all wired up currently and it works, but not very well. That said..
9t8z28, it hits alright, but nowhere near as hard as it could (and rightfully should). My current problem is all in the wiring. My old setup in my 89 Firebird was a whole lot louder. I had two amps then, but i also built a box to fit down neatly into the bottom of the t-top well that housed a kicker comp VR 15" round sub, and on top i had a very similar box to what is in this car, however it only had the original 2-10" subs mounted in that, sort of a 'stealth' setup, as the 10" box covered the 15 so you couldn't see it, made the 10" subs sound a whole hell of a lot louder than they were because the 15 was hittin down deep where nobody could see it. Long story shortened, the windshield frame in that car (t-top car) would shake and vibrate probably a good 1/2". It was pretty damn serious. Never was able to get that car to a GOOD dB meter or comp, but i had purchased my own meter from Radioshack that maxed out at 126db, and just the 10's alone did that, so really I have no idea how loud it really was.
Before I built the box for the firebird, i had 2 of these stuffed into my regular cab ranger, and I actually had built a box that fit between the seats (fiberglass) to mount the other 2 10's (yeah, 4-10" subs in a regular cab ranger WITHOUT a blowthru rear window/bed). It would have been sick, however, I had no place for the amp after I built the box! It wouldn't fit under the seat, and I wasn't about to try and make a weather-proof steel box to mount under the truck.

Yeah, SOMETHING caused the rear hatch on my car to leak a bit of water just once. Still not sure what caused it, i'm thinking that the hatch wasn't completely sealed. Believe it or not, but BOTH of my amps got wet, really wet. The amp that was entirely under water was the one to go bad, luckily it was the amp with less power! However, it shouldn't happen again, i pulled everything otu of there that day, popped one of the drain plugs outta the bottom of the well and left that out.
