Thats not true. In all reality, steroids are the only drugs I can see having benefits.
Not to start an argument, but be aware of what you hear in the media. Theres usage and theres abuse. Only problem is, roids become pointless if theyre NOT abused....that is, by people that do NOT have low test levels.

Don't ever use steroids, you'll go into depression and kill yourself. I've seen it happen. The star athletes couldn't get big enough to keep up and they take em and they seriously make you go crazy. They have horrible mood swings and end up taking their own life. This one guy came home and everything seemed normal according to his parents. He left and said he'd be right back and the parents figured he was just going see his friends and he blew his own brains out a block down the road and his parents and many other parents tell very similar stories about what happened to their kids.

Steroids are prescribed for doctors all the time...they even give them to four year olds for certain medical conditions. Like someone already said, there is propper usage and dosage, and then there is abuse and dependency and over dosing. If you're smart about it and can tell when you have a problem, then you will be fine.
I am 5'9 and 124lbs. No matter how much I work out, I cannot get any muscle at all or meat for that matter. I eat like crazy and workout like crazy, no muscle gained, no weight gained. I can see why people resort to roids.

Please someone come in here and laugh at my posts instead of taking me seriously
Smkn TA - I'm the same height as you; back in March I weighed 145, now I weigh 170-175. You just need to eat more. Try to get at least 210g of protein a day. And make sure you eat clean... for protein eat turkey, chicken, tuna, egg whites, whey shakes, etc; complex carbs: oats, potatoes, pasta, bread; fats: egg yolks, nuts, peanut butter, fish oil, olive oil, etc dairy: milk, cottage cheese; veggies and fruits. Stay away from sugars and simple carbs, no soda, etc. You might want to get a weight gainer shake mix. I gained 25 lbs in the last 8 months pretty cleanly, which I think is pretty good... the supplements I take are mulitvitamins, fish oil caps, creatine, and when I can afford it, a NO product like N.O.-Xplode. Be sure you incorporate heavy complex lifts in your workouts... deadlifts/squats/bench press... those will stimulate muscle growth much more than doing curls for an hour... Good luck!

Agreed. At his age, I thought I ate enough and had the right training program. Well, I was WRONG.
There are a lot of variables to consider when putting on size is desired.
19 is too young to juice.
Experience in lifting of about 8-10 years
25+ years or older
Thats a good start.

I'm 6'0'' 140 lbs, I probably have about 2-3% body fat because I have this, well...disease, I guess, where I shake constantly and in turn my body refuses to gain weight. It's called Essential Tremor, sucks, but I live with it and it doesn't bother me at all, except when I have a shake attack, which is rare, or shit like that. But what really bothers me about it is it won't let me gain weight, at ALL. At the beginning of football season last year I was at about 152. Now, more than a year later, I'm down to 140, and do what I may, I can't seem to gain OR lose any of that weight.
Now, don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm not trying here. I work out AT LEAST 2 days a week, I try to hit 4-5 but I'm too busy and my lifestyle right now won't allow it (two fucking jobs and a social life). I enjoy working out, and my body shows it off. I'm very well-toned, I can max around 210 or so, and my abs are fucking terrific if I do say so myself. My legs are the strongest part of my body, and they should be...But I just CAN'T gain weight. It's not a "you're young" thing, something I'll just get over.
I eat very, very well. I take in a lot of protein, and my carbs are always perfectly fine. Fat intake is regular, too. I eat very healthy for my age (18). So it's not my diet.
I've always been 100% natural and proud of it, but I'm thinking it's time to start with other shit, because it's getting ridiculous. I want to start on creatine, because I know it's mostly healthy. I'm apprehensive on other shit because I've heard whacky ass stories, but creatine is mostly good as I've heard.
I'm not a huge workout nut, but I like to stay in shape and be happy with myself and my abilities and the way I look. So I don't wanna go crazy on the supplements thing. But is creatine a good start? Or should it be something else? Because I'm skin and bones here, and I need to gain weight, preferably muscle mass. I'm prety sold on creatine, but I'd like a few other suggestions, so...
Any suggestions or is creatine the way to go?

regular supplements is still "natural". It's the uneducated non lifting community that wants to label everything they dont understand a steroid these days that claim that any kind of supplementation means unnatural. Not knowing anything about kinesiology or chemistry or anabolics. Most people dont know that anabolic basically jus means your body is in a muscle building/repairing state. They automatically group that word with steroids. Its to the point now where I'm beyond sick of the steroid topic period. All these people that try and criticize steroids and label anyone with any muscle as a user as they sit on their ass and get fat and drink 7 days a week. Maybe its just jealousy?

If you train half ass you are never gonna get big. Your clean calorie intake is probably half of what it should be if you wanna put on weight. People dont know the difference between over and undertraining. In general try to workout at least 4 days a week but not more then 5. There is no reason to be lifting 6 and 7 days a week. There is also no reason to be spending 2 hrs in the gym either. Jack up the intensity in your workouts, dont bullshit, and dont rest more then a minute between sets. Anything more then 2 or 3 good sets is a total waste of time. The guys that are doing like 5 or more sets per exercise per bodypart are either lifting way too light or wasting way too much time resting. Lift as heavy as you can for a good 8 to 10 reps. Go SLOW on the negative. Feel your muscles burn. Dont be afraid to lift to momentary muscular failure either. Too many guys jus lift and get a pump and then stop a set. If you didnt break a bit of a sweat and feel your muscles fail on you a lil, you aren't lifting with enough intensity.
so yeah, my guess is you don't lift hard enough and correctly. Question.... Whats " alot of protein". What are carbs being "perfectly fine". You need carbs, carbs are fuel. Its the refined carbs, starches, and flours that are jus bad for you. All this no carb bullshit is just something fat people target for blame as to why they are a fat ass. Instead of their high salt and sugar intake, high starch intake, and eating late at night. They bought into the atkins concept. Nevermind that they will all die of colon cancer cause they dont eat any roughage lol
