It sure helps with the bills. I've been fortunate to get to do this on the side. There's always the pressure to meet the customer's expectations, that always thrives me to do a good job. There are few things I do that I don't charge extra for, like polishing chrome or aluminum wheels. I always do that for free just do give the customer an added value on top of what they're getting...

I would definately ask Goose to do mine if I lived near him. No doubt. Where I live there are alot of people who claim they are "detailers" but in reality have no clue what they are doing. They dont know what the 2 bucket system is or understand the concept of swirls. They even wear huge rings while "detailing". For that reason I dont trust anyone on my car. I hired a "detailer" to buff my iroc a few years ago and he burnt the paint off in 3 spots-then told me that was already like that. I showed him the rubber from the burnt spots that "magically" matched the rubber backing plate on his buffer. That was the last time for me. Bought a PC for the car I have now.

Just wondering what type of "system" do you clean the carpets with?
I have a pair of mats that are hideous, worth it to mail them to you to clean or just toss them? Wouldnt mind paying?Regards,
Todd

It depends on the job. Some cars are easier than other, some demand more work, or special attention. That's why I don't like to give estimates without seeing the car first. What some people may see as a minor thing to do, it can be bad to others, or more involved to correct or vice-versa
PS: Thanks again everyone for your kind words!
