New muscle car war
Is anyone else egar to see whats going to go down with the new pony car war brewing with the new challenger and camaro coming? i really want to know what ford is going to do cause the way it is now the stang is going to get killed IMO, 425hp hemi's and 400+hp LS2 or3, not looking good for the stang

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
I'll be hanging on to my '02 WS6.. next car I plan on buying (that isn't a beater) will one day be a nice Corvette.
I love the new generation of cars coming out though. I'm just happy we aren't driving around electric scooters and crap by now. Thank god for big motors!! Long live muscle.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
considering that i've seen a rediculous amount of 05+ mustangs/gts and chargers/srt/ect...I believe the camaro will sell just fine [atleast the v6] But honestly, if it's priced competitively and they don't fuck up that concept interior
then I think it will kick some serious ass

thats what i'm trying to get at with the motors, both the challenger and camaro are going to be 400+hp and be priced with a GT stang, and i havn't heard any plans on what ford is going to do to keep up, the way it stands know its a two horse race and the mustang looks like a pony

the mustang has something neither of the other two have though: unrestrained heritage. "mustang" and "ford" is synonymous with good ole american heritage, camaro and challenger are not. The mustang has never been pulled off of production and it's unbridled run has given it an extra 4-6 years of "exposure" to the current generation of future muscle car owners. They are extremely affordable and priced to sell like hot cakes. So they have their seat in the game. Rememebr, not all RWD cars are driven by performance-oriented people. I've seen so many unlikely business/mom/nerd types behind the wheel of v6 cars that it hurts to look. But hey, the v6 sells so they make it-doesn't matter who buys it as long as it gets sold.

i'll say this now, GM better price that camaro very competively and be ready to back off when the time comes-the come back won't be easy. Yes, a die-hard GM guy will buy it for a million, but some dude who wants a nifty car is only looking at the price tag.

327-TPI/A4- 1992 Trans am
I would probably never get a newer camaro even i had the money or means to get one. I dont like the new camaro, looks like crap to me.
I rather get a ls1/m6 trans am.......look better and in a few years ill have enough saved up for it
If i had to choose a modern muscle car its be a challenger......looks like it should and not all new and craptactular. The camaro looks like it rolled over crunched its roof and was put together by a blind person.
The 09' trans am photochop cars look soooo much better than the camaro IMOHigh revving TPI........wait oxymoron?

I am going to seriously consider buying one of the new Camaro's.
Hell, having one is great, but having TWO would be awesome!

Blue GMC Canyon- trans ams gone now
i would prefer a firebird over a camaro anytime just cause its the particular car that first exposed me to muscle cars, however that camaro convertible is looking really good. i still want an ls1 formy or trans am but i wish they had an interior like a gto....enough money could help fix it up a lil bit tho....

Im glad the new cars are coming out with 400+hp, gives us a reason to mod our cars to show the new breed of cars they're not the only fast ones on the road.
