Well your not like dirt or anything, but if you can remember gas at $.25 your in your 50's at least. I'm 28 and the lowest I rememver gas is $.99 and that is before I could drive.
Oh and to get back on track my first car was a 1967 Ford Fairlane XL500 2 door 289 that I still own to this day.

Bright Red- 1999 Trans Am Ws6
Cheapest gas I can remember is .85 cents. And I am 19. God I love Iowa, plus that one time I filled up for 14 cents a gallon due to a clerical error. Was supposed to be 1.40 but they fucked the decimal. The gas station sold it at that price all day to.

BlackCherry- Bad Ass 67 Camaro / 2010
My first car was my 67 Camaro - Bought it in 83, with 65,000 miles on it.
In 87, it was repainted and the motor rebuilt
And as it is today, neayly 200,000 on the odometer.

to the original poster, get whatever car you want.... just make sure you have good insurance, or money in the bank cuz the statistics are against you. An LS1 car is as safe as any other to be involved in a wreck, but its more likely you will wreck a car like that based on inexperience behind the wheel.
Good luck, and be careful!
