NBM- '98 Ram Air Formula
If you want to know what is being predicted go buy the latest Motor Trend (I think it was Motor Trend that I was reading) and they have done computer simulations with the Camero vs. Mustang. Some of their info is from inside sourced but most is speculation. As stated above, do not believe everything you read in mags.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
i think the engine ratings are true. i remember reading on the Chevy site that the new camaro will have the active 4-8 cyl engines that the new impalas have.
This is a statement i pulled from a PDF that i downloaded from GM's concept page
Now the issue here is they specifically mention it's the concept that houses the LS2, nowhere do they say "production cars will have the ls2" so i guess it's still rumors until something with credibility or a source is sited [zboner, lol]

I think that has to be BS. It doesn't make sense. Only a 300hp V8 and a 240hp V6? no no no the V6 is going to be the 300hp. Even the cheverlot website says that it will have an LS2 and it is going to have the fuel cylinder management that turns off half of the cylinders on light driving. Performance wise I don't think we will be disappointed, with the new camaros performance. They are sexy as hell and will sell no matter what. regardless made in the US or austraila.

If The Z-28 doesn't have a 400HP for the base V8 I'd kick it to the curb! I understand having a V6 model though.

PEWTER- 2000 CAMARO SS #3821
Start getting on the government to stop the new cafe standards or all muscle power will be gone. A 35mpg standard across the board does not make a V8 rwd muscle car survive.

On a side note, I was driving next to the new 6-speed HEMI CHALLENGER "test mule" in Michigan this weekend and it sounded pretty nice going thru the gears. All blacked out wheels and bra covered but it was still showing thru enough.

Blazen Orange Metallic- 2006 GTO
You should have hit him and took some pics.
My only problem with the new Camaro is that there will be so many of them. It's going to be like the whole Mustang fever thing. It's like 1 out of every 5 cars I see on the road are Mustangs. I don't want to drive something that is all over the place like that.
