I think its fiberglass actually. It usually is. Just to give you an idea, mine is the suncoast WS6 hood and it rises higher than the stock WS6 by about a full inch if not more. My guess is you'd have a bitch of a time trying to see curbs with that kind of a hood.

VFN makes that hood i believe and yes it is hideous on a street car, but on a full out dragster it can actually look pretty bad ass!

Crawlin, if you are thinking of putting any of these hoods on your car, do what you think looks best. But personally the 4" ram air looks bad.

I agree.. I've seen a few on the street. and they look out of place in my opinion.. now if you mod up a 408 with a blower or something badass under the hood to need such a hood.. then ok.. but unless its a strip car..PERSONALLY I wouldn't get one.. but like said.. it is YOUR car, and you would be the one looking at it everyday and paying the couple grand for it...

i don't think it looks that bad, but ilike the old school 4 inch look. i have 2.5 bon my monte ss.

and i bet that hood is much lighter then the stock ws6 hood.

just stay away from the stock WS6 hood. I paid more money for that damn option and I want more people to be able to tell it apart from every other damn firebird/trans am running around with them.

actually just kidding, i think that hood should have come on all of the 98+ firebirds in all models. that ws9 hood is decent, the 4" is stupid
