I guess I kinda disagree on a couple of things. I think that at some point the 98's will be desireable because they were the first year for the LS1 in an f-body. When? Not sure but I'd bet we'll all be dead and gone. I also kinda like the single out idea. True sleeper effect. Every f-body has a single exhaust, it just comes out of the muffler as 2. I'm sure this exhaust would flow a little better than the later catbacks. After that it's all aesthetics.

i'm looking for a single exhaust set up.

and for the people who hate it what if it was a turbo car?

example: i got beat by a 98 with single exhaust.

    Sadly now demodded :(

1 of my friends has a single outlet on his F-body. It's 4" in diameter though.

As for 98's some guys bag on them but they have a bigger cam and injectors than the 99 and 2000 cars. Just some of them had very sensitive knock sensors and there are less tuning options. My 98's runs like a champ with 112,000 miles on it and a buddy of mine has had a couple of 98's that were 10 second cars. Not a damn thing wrong with the 98's.
The 98 blocks have less of a cylinder sleeve. 98-99 have the same size cam, but the 98 does have bigger injectors

are you sure...i am pretty sure 98s has the biggest cams...and if not then it would have to be 98-00' since after that ..they switched to a more mid-high range cam for emission reasons.

I am almost positive that the 98 has a bigger cam than a 99'. As for the cylinder sleeves, I have seen stock 98' short blocks with heads, cam and nitrous have no problems holding about 550rwtq. Thats good enough for me.

Yeah, I am not saying that they are any less of an engine, but they certainly improved it.

    98-00 is the same cam.
