I guess it was all kinds of shredded up in there, gaskets, lines, the works. The whole thing was busted up pretty good. I'll let you know what all they replaced when I get the invoice. (BTW, I looked at my build sheet and it says like November of '98)

Shady: I think thats all they do have is Vette parts. I'd be surprised if they actually were putting in 4L60 stuff meant for a T/A or Camaro, I always have to special order shit because they don't carry parts for them anymore.

Black is well worth it tho because at least you can see what the hell is on the paint and what your doing.

So far, the tally is Strut Boot ($120 at reduced cost thanks to Luos), Tranny rebuild (Currently at $1020 at rising). and the car is in desperate need of paint on the front end and drivers side rear 1/4. It looks good, until you get up close and have an eye for detail. Then you start seeing rockchips. spider cracking in the urethane, the rub I got from some dbag in a jeep wrangler from his tire. the touch up paint used by the previous owner that doesn't match the factory color. The brake pads are eventually gonna need to be replaced too here in less than 1000 miles or so. Suppose for the time being I'll just keep driving it until something else breaks.

Sorry to hear about the string of bad luck I just spent about 500 trying to fix a stupid squeak , after 3 new belts 2 new pulleys a water pump and an alternator I got it under control , as far as the 4l60e I have had mine rebuilt 4 times 2 of the fried trannys are my fault (the other 2 were from bad installs) so i just said F it and I bought a brand new tranny so i know how you feel been there all to many times

Wouldn't be surprised in the least if I had to break down and buy a stg 3 or 4 4L60E when I get my torque converter put in.

I am about to update my 4l60e when I put mine in I have a leak in my rear main seal so I am just going to put one in and while I have it being worked on I am just going to pull the tranny and have it beefed up since I am about to slap my cam, LTs, and new supercharger in
