okie dokie.
i just don't like the soft shifts of the A4, but the VHP is definitely something i would need to put a few pennies away.

I bought a HPP3 when my Firebird was new and it was a waste of money. I dynoed lower with it and there where only a few things I could tweak (especially on an M6). I bought it used and only paid like $125-150 for it (can't remember exactly) but I would have been pissed if I had payed full price for it.

Yeah I ended up investing in HPTuners after that and never looked back. I tuned my MS4 cammed Firebird which no is residing in NY with it's new owner and I'm tuning my mostly stock Camaro and even in stock form there is lots to be gain with a basic tune and as the car get's modded the tune will also grow with it. The initial learning curve is higher but if you stick to it is great been able to tune the car your self.

yeah i looked at the cost of HPTuner vs. the VHP. You're about the same money if you go with the basic credits on the HPTuner. But then you have the learning curve.
I just didn't want to drop big money right now just for one thing, firmer shifts. Would I do more down the road sure, but one step at a time.
