Hole drilled in my throttle blade?

Is there supposed to be a hole in my 01 z28 throttle blade? I have heard of people drilling one to help idle characteristics with a big cam, which this one has. I have problems at idle, surging, and sometimes dies after coming off the gas. Can this be remedied with the throttle stop screw? The car was dyno tuned by LG motorsports in Dallas (180 miles from me) so I would like to fix it myself if i can. the cam specs are 228/232-588/574@114 backed up by ported &poplished heads that flow to 304 with diamond forged pistons. btw the maf appears to be aftermarket & altered.

Usually, you'll need a tuning package like EFI Live or HPTuners to truly fix idle & part throttle issues on a heads/cam car. Most shops don't get idle right. They mainly focus on the dyno numbers and getting the car to stay running. Idle and drive-ability don't always make it on the list of things to do when they've got a line of cars to tune.

Find someone with a scanner to see where your IAC steps are. When the car has been up to temp for a few minutes, the IAC should be in the 60~70 range. If it's not, then yes...you need to adjust your throttle body set screw or possibly drill the hole out some more to bring them in line. If it is, there are a few tables that need to be dialed in within your tune.
