More Air & Tune
I have a mail order tune from frost, I just got a Super Hawk Hood with full Ram Air as well as a WS6 lower high rise air box. So lots more air coming in, will the computer with the Tune ReLearn the extra air and make adjustments on its own? Or will it need a return to Frost to make it right?
I will be sending him a email, wondered if anyone here would know99 Trans Am, SLP Lid, Blackwing filter, smooth bellow, Ported TB, LS6 intake, Ws6 lower ram air box, OBX LT's, Magna Flow cat back, LS7 clutch, Tick MC, Hurst Shifter, Frost Tune, UMI SFC,LAC, STB, PB, Torq Arm, Super Hawk hood, Torq Thrust II, Kee Audio.
Strange S60 4:10's, D&S Rotors, S/S Brake Lines.
Nitto NT05R Track Tire's, 12.7 @ 108 / 1.82 60'
Wish list.

that shouldn't be enough to effect the tune....that's all pre MAF stuff. Your MAF will still read the airflow correctly.

^^ Agree. No need to update your tune.

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
The only time you will need to retune your PCM for air intake is when you have a forced air system such as a turbo or a supercharger. Ram air and hood scoops will not effect your current tune.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

Generally a good rule of thumb is if you don't make changes between the maf to the O2 sensors you don't need a tune.

I think I might've talked to you before on here. I go out by you a couple times a year. I go out by Bedford and Everett. Know a few people from Johnstown that graduated high school from Ferndale.

I work for a company that supplies them with a lot of the components they use on their builds - draft gears, side bearings, beams, etc.

I go to the office building close to the river. Not sure if that's considered downtown or not. I call on a few people there regularly. We usually chat over lunch while I am there, but I am down to get together sometime for sure. I'll actually be there again on March 13th and March 14th - so a few weeks out.
