i was driving and my cutch pedal started sticking and i really didnt have any control over the clutch....also just sitting there not touching the pedal the clutch pedal would slowly suck down to the floor and i would have to pull it back up....
i was told possibly the clutch master cylinder?

Check the fluid level. If its low, check for leaks.
InstallUniversity.com has a master cylinder replacement write-up. The write-up has a few extra things you can ignore depending on which master you choose to install
Here's the link: http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...r_cylinder.htm

A lot of people go with an adjustable Tick, but that is out of your price range. Just get the OEM GM Master Cylinder.
Before replacing your MC, I would change the fluid and see if that corrects the problem.

A soft or spongy pedal feel can usually be either a bad slave or MC. The one that is leaking is guilty culprit. When it leaks, this lets air get in the system, causing the clutch pedal to feel how it does.
From how I understand it anyhow...

I agree. Get an OEM GM master. Don't cheap out and get one from Autozone.
I'd say its a good chance its just the master but they could be problems with the slave also. But since the fluid is full, I'd lean towards a master problem. You could also try to flush out/bleed out the crappy old fluid and see it that helps.

You'll be in the $100 to $160 range I'd think for OEM GM
