Idle Problem
When I first got the car, it had an idle problem. I added the LS6 intake and Shaner P&P TB and it idled absolutely perfect, cold or warm. I put the cam in it, and now it idles strangely when cold, almost cutting off, and going up and down from 200 to 700 rpm. When it is warm, it runs fine, but still not consistent. What is the best fix for this problem? I have heard I need to drill the breather hole on the TB blade. Anybody got any recommendations on what size to drill the hole? The hole is the stock size right now.

When it warms up what does it idle at. MIne with the cam idles about 900-1000. Might have to adjust teh idle screw up a little or the butterfly drill mod.

It idles at 600. I thought that was a bit low. I could fix that by adding a shim to where the throttle stop rests. I might try raising the idle to about 800, and see if that helps.

I took my new T/B off yesterday to adjust the idle screw, and noticed there was a significant amount of oil film on the inside of the intake, and there was some on the rear of the throttle blade. Is it supposed to be like that? It does consume about a quart a month. Oh yeah, that cured my idle issue, adjusting the screw. Thanks Big D.
