1951 Mercury Coupe - Quarter-Turn Merc

We check out Ted Dzus' custom '51 MercuryTed Dzus (pronounced zoose and yes, related to the Dzus Fastener company) has been a friend of HOT ROD for years and a Power Tour(r) regular since 1998. That was the year Gray Baskerville persuaded him to come on the Tour in his '98 Trans Am, and he was immediately hooked. His current cross-country ride is this chopped and shaved Merc that is driven constantly. The body is all fiberglass, purchased from a company Ted would rather forget, which is easier, since it's out of business. With a blown Rat motor under the hood and a comfortable all-red interior, the car is anything but subtle, and that's just how Ted likes it.
