Conversion Oil Pan
Hey Guys,
If any of you out there are into swapping Gen III/IV engine into older or Classic cars.. RetroLSx has come up with a new oil pan for swapper that has great clearance around the X-Member to pan slump area.. I think I am about to pick one up for my 71 Nova that I will be putting a 02 LS1/A4 into early next year..
check it out at the http://www.retrolsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110 site.. as well as other conversion and perfromance parts. Right now the 1st batch of the Cast Alum pans are $399.00....

Cool pan. Wouldn't a stock f-body ls oil pan fit the same as that?

There is not much chance of a stock F-Body pan clearing the Steering links. Since both the F-body and X-Body are rear steer, you would have to move the engine pertty far back.
S&P notches the pan in order for them to be used but they charge a lot to do that. After market (autokraft and other are the other choices...)
Once I get it, I will post some picture next to the F-Body pan.
