Big Screen TV experts in here please.
Right now I have a 48 inch Projection JVC
I fucking Hate this thing. It Broke 3 times and its under a year old. Twice it was the transformer.
I have about $3000 to play with. Give me some suggestion. Pro's and Con's.
I found a Zenith 50" Plasma HDTV for $2,800. What are other models are there. I don't want projection TV and it doesn't have to be plasma. Something that big, but does not weight a lot.
Give me you input on there TV's. Post a link or a pic if you can.
Thanks.

Get a DLP Mitsubishi... about $2800 for a 52". Don't buy a Zenith ANYTHING! If you're not familiar with DLP's they are a Projection TV but use only 1 bulb and it's easily replaced around 3000 hours and it's the cheapest bulb replacement, $200. I sell TVs and Audio for a living. This is the best bang for the buck and they will give you a 1080P picture now.

Any LCD or DLP larger than 42" is gonna be a rear projector of some kind. The only TV larger than that that is NOT rear projection is a Plasma. Whatever type you end up going with I would recommend buying a Sony, Hitachi or Mitsubishi.

Zenith is SHIT! They are NOT the company they used to be. That plasma that was on sale at Bad Buy isn't HD. If you want a plasma, spend a little bit more and get a Panasonic, they know how to make a sweet plasma. Estimated life span on a Panasonic plasma is 22 years!
We just got in the Sharp 65" LCD thin panel!!! $20,000!
Yeah, Sony's SXRD is fucking awesome! The Sony rep came by the store after CES and said they've got a 55" version coming out that's only 8" thick! I didn't mention the SXRD cause he had a price range around $3000.
I'm not familiar with Arcam, we carry Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer Elite, and Sony ES. I've got a Denon and love it!Last edited by Wulfe13; 01-29-2006 at 08:04 PM.
