Rotor Brand Information

Too keep it short my pads are finally scraping against the rotor. I will most likely have to change the pads, and rotors since....yeah... Anyways I wanted to know if anyone has used the "Rotorworks" cross-drilled/slotted rotors? What is your opinion/ratings on them? Plus what is a good pad to use that is somewhat cheap? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Yeah those were the ones I was looking at. Except I saw them on their sister site www.rpmspeed.com.... They look good...I just wanted to hear someones opinion about them....assuming they used them.

Have never used them but the price seems right.

been using them for about 3 years now with ceramic brake pads. i bought the dimpled slotted ones when they were available on a different site. they are a little noisy but haven't cracked or warped at all. i check the rotors probably every few months and i can barely notice any wear at all on the fronts. the back rotors are practically new. the pads barely have any wear either. for some background info, my camaro is an m6 and i don't downshift to slow down. i don't take the car to the track but have had her over 100 many times and have had to hit the brakes a few times while going that fast. hope this helps and i would definitely recommend the rotors...just try to find a set of dimpled slotted ones if you can just so they don't crack. good luck.

i am using these with autozone ceramic shoes.....they have been very good

Do you have drilled, slotted, or both. I was thinking about getting slotted but i know that supposedly the drilled ones stay cooler. (i also know they tend to crack sometimes)

It really comes down to personal preference. With those words though your liable to start a "brake war" on this thread. It is really annoying because people will tell you blanks are the way to go, but even those have negative points too. That going with the slotted/drilled/dimpled rotors too. I have used Powerslot cross-drilled/slotted rotors for the past 3 years on my SS and they finally need to be changed out. They grab nice, and stop the car very good. Never a problem with cracking etc. The only way you can do that is if your racing the car, or have a defective product. I have stopped numerous times at 120mph and they never crack, or never warp. The only thing I have bad to say about it is the slotted part of it makes the rotor or succeptible to rusting out. Water can get inside the rotor and rust it from the inside out which is a pain in the ass (And what is happening to mine right now). On the other end it also has to do with your pads too (stopping performance wise).. which I am using the EBC "Red-stuff" pads. If you do not feel like risking it, get blanks. If you do feel like risking, get drilled/slotted. I would not even bother with dimpled.
