BLK/BLK w/CGM Stripes- 2010 Camaro 2SS/M6
Painted my LSX intake today...
So I wanted to do something different (well, maybe I don't go out enough, so different to me ... lol) so I decided to paint the intake white to match the car. Then I took out the tiny little paint brush and model paint kit I had left over, from a small project that I didn't complete in the past, and got to work ... I'm still trying to touch up the runs/etc. so I wouldn't say it's complete ... what ya'll think?
Starting off...
Laying the Silver down first...
Then getting pissed off 'cos my shaky hands messed up and got red all over...
All Cleaned up and ready to go...

If you want to get rid of some of the wrinkle, or all of it, I would suggest clear coat. It will not only help smooth the intake, it will also protect your painted surface from scratching and make it easyer to clean.
Just my .02. Looks really good though.

INSTALLED!!! Well, just placed in there with the repainted fuel rail/etc. Can't bolt it down just yet 'cos I need to get the lower profile valley cover bolts and stainless bolts to replace these rusty bolts I got with the intake.
hmmmm.... need to think about that clear coat before I bolt it all down... thanks for the tip!

Real nice, it would look awesome if you paint the lid to match.

Take your time, shoot 5 or 6 light coats on it, and Ill almost promise the wrinkle will go away.
You must be patient though, and dont try to throw it all on at once, or you will get runs.

Yep! As Tony Sinclair says, The same goes for clear coat as for all coats, always in moderation!

Looks great! I don't like the FAST badge on their intake though and would prefer it plain. Just my preference.
