line lock
i have an SLP line lock on my 99 z-28, when i use it to do a burnout it works fine. When i release the button it doesn't release the brake. I have to shut off the car and start it back up for the line lock to release. Has anybody had that problem before, i've only used the thing a handful of times.

line lock
man i was wondering when somebody might chime in on this one. thanks for the tip ill try and look at all the wiring on it and let you know. i thought it might be the solenoid sticking and it resets when i shut the car off.

sounds like the button is not working right. Take a volt meter and make sure the switch is releasing properly.

Had that same problem you have. And everyone tried to tell me I had it wired incorrectly, funny cause I am an aircraft electrician been one for 14 years, so yeah NO. Counted my loss and bought a new one, after about a month it did it too. Called SLP and talked to them, they had me send both back to them, and it was discovered the solenoid was bad/defective. They sent me 2 brand new ones. Installed one and the other is a backup just incase. Been installed for over a year now with no problems, and I use the hell out of it.

Every one I know seems to have one and never had a problem... beat the hell outta me. SLP had me take pics of how I have it wired and ran. It beat the hell outta them too. Then they tested the 2 bad ones I sent them and yep, they were defective. I didn't change a thing, and my 3rd one works like a champ. Who knows, maybe something got in them during shipping/wharehouse storage or maybe they weren't handled without any kind of care.
