spk. plugs LS1
I KNOW there has to be specialty tools for changing plugs, is there a preferred tool out there for this job? I am dreading replacing the plugs. How many miles do you guys go before changing plugs? Thanks for any advice.

they make spark plug sockets. there expensive but they work
all it is is a normal deep well with a rubber piece on the inside that holds the plug in place for you and protects the ceramic

I just purchased the spark plug socket that SLP makes (PN 30102). It is expensive, like $22.00. It's only a regular spark plug socket which is machined down so it's not as long as regular. Also the back end of it is hex shaped so you can fit a 19mm wrench on it for tight fit space.

It helps alot but due to the space, nothings that easy.
Good luck

Remember to dab some anti sieze on the new plugs before you put them in. And start them by hand or use a rubber hose. Don't start threading the plugs with the socket if you cross thread them you'll thrash the heads.

I just use the standard spark plug socket and ratchet for all the plugs excluding the #8 plug. for that I use the socket with a ratcheting box wrench from below, works every time.
