We need a little more info.

    1. Does it grind going into any gear sitting at an idle?
    2. Does it pop out of any gears while driving?
    3. Is it hard getting it into reverse?
    4. Has your clutch pedal ever stuck to the floor?
    5. How many miles on the car and do you ride the clutch?
    6. Any strange sound from the gear box while in neutral?

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

a possible quick fix is your transmission mount could be shot. It's an easy fix if you have a jack and some tools. Basically if your tranny mount is shot, it'll miss-align the tranny and prevent you from shifting fluidly. Just try that first - it's like $20.

If it is synchros, less than 1k will get you a good rebuild with steel forks and hardened synchros and bronze shift fork pads. which is all you would really need unless you are aiming for over 600 RWHP/TQ.
