Is this normal
I installed a SLP airlid on my lunch break. It was a bitch gettin that MAF in the tube! Anyhoo, I get everything installed and plugged back in and when I start the car, it's stumbling and running around 300-400 rpm's. I sit for about a minute and it kinda comes back around to 800 or so. I didn't get to really drive it, just up the block and back. Seems ok? Does it take the computer a few minutes to relearn the readings and stuff? My filaments in my MAF looked ok when I put it in. I did break off a little piece of plastic on my IAT sensor at the tip, i think it was kind of a protector or something (there's 2 of them, L shaped), but the sensor itself looked alright. Just curious. Thanks!

If you disconnected the battery for a while sometimes the idle will need to relearn. If the IAT got damaged it'll throw a code. Give it a few ignition cycles and see if it throws the SES light.

it revved fine, but then bogged down again. but that was when i first started it. after a minute or two it kinda "woke up" and seemed to be normal. I get off at 5, so I'll see then if it is still acting funny or not. There is an auto zone about a tenth of a mile from me. I might just get a new IAT sensor since they're cheap, just to be safe.

Normal
Sounds normal to me. It will relearn itself...sometimes takes a few normal pulls and a lap around the block or two.

Cool. I thought I'd heard that before about the LS1 having to relearn idle and stuff. I don't remember my LT1 doing that when I installed my CAI

Ok, everything is good. Drove home and it was normal. Actually a little better with the lid. Sorry for being so noobish!
