Heads and Cam Install finished :) Idle Video..
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...22344847&hl=en
Ok due to no time and lack of experience this install took 2 1/2 months for me to do since I pulled the engine and transmission out to do it. I also installed a new performabuilt stage 2 "pro race" transmission. The cam is a 230-236 duration 580-590 lift on 114LSA. The heads are stage 2 port and polished by morgan motorsports and have manley valves, springs, retainers and comp cams chrome moly pushrods. I also put in an LPE oil pump and double roller timing chain. The car is still currently untuned but I was lucky enough to have a Diablo sport handheld that had a tune saved for 1.8 roller rockers and that tune seems to work to get the car to where it needs to be and allows it to idle without dieing. Anyways let me know what you all think

I have mine idling warm at 925.
Once you are tuned it will be better.

it hasnt been tuned and the stock idle speed will kill the engine. it is also runnign in closed loop though because the ECT sensor isnt hooked up. I will be picking thta up tomorrow morning
this is what it sounded like before the install. really made a huge difference when you watch both vids. I just cant wait to see how she screams down the track

nice man... very nice... i need a camed engine again... tap has my last engine which has a 224/224 114 cam in it... my new LS6 engine doens't lope like the cammed one...
yeah... it's going to be a whore in open loop when you some to a stop sign and stall... def get a tune... always make sure you get a safe tune though... i'm on a safe tune and was told i could get probably another 8 -12 hp out of my car stock... but it isn't worth with the shit i'll break...
5 engines is enough...

I am definatly going safe on the tune, it will be pretty conservative. Losing a few horses for a safer tune is fine by me since I will still be able to run my 150 shot with a safe tune. Aggressive tune and it would be a goner!!
