    Question Launching

Is this in the right section? Anyway, I was out a few minutes ago on some EMPTY back roads just messing with the GTech and trying to learn how to launch this thing. It's an M6 and my first RWD (and I just got out of a FWD ) so there's definitely some learning to do! I want to get comfortable enough to take it to the strip on Sunday without completely embarassing myself. So anyway, the first few times I started with TCS on, revving up to and holding 2500, then feathering. It seemed to get up and go pretty good until the clutch was completely out, when it would bog a little for a sec and then hook up again. Next was with TCS off. It kept wanting to pull to the sides (I love RWD!!!), but I think with some more practice I could get it right. I know a lot of you hate the GTech, but if anyone wants its numbers I'll go ahead and post them. How do you all launch your M6's? Am I on the right track or am I way off?

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

    WHAOAAAA!!!! 2500?!???

ok, first mistake-TCS is retarded. don't race with it on, b/c it's made to "bog" down your car until the tire slip evens-out

    B) launch at like 1500 man-if that's a stock clutch?

really i'm not the best racer in the world, but i definatly have learned that 2500 is gonna leave you with nothing but squeeling tires.

    PS-NICE ASS CAR!!!!

With a stock Ws6, hold a rev and clutch in at 3800 RPM's, when the light goes green, drop the clutch and let it spin for a split sec. When you feel it hooking, fllor it and you got it. Usually a good launch rpm in an M6 is between 3500 and 4000 rpms. Just rev, drop, wait, then floor.
