Interior Water Leak
Hi everyone, I'm new to this website. I just purchased a 98 SS and I have a water leak on the passenger side under the dashboard everytime the A/C is running. Has this happened to anyone else and what is the solution for fixing this problem. Thanks

Is it behind the dashboard and is it hard to get to? I hope that I don't have to pull the dashboard out in order to unclog that tube. Do you have an suggestions as to how to handle this problem? Thanks

Sunset Orange Metallic- 2002 Camaro SS M6
I had the exact same problem in my SS. The drain tube is clogged up. There is probably a piece of foam insulation in the tube. Just take out the tube and blow it out. I did that and it's good to go.

It's small and hard to find, passenger side on the firewall between the cat and frame (for better lack of a word) downtube...easier getting under the car.

Thanks Camaro FiveO and 2001NBMZ28 for the info, I'll try to find that drain tube tomorrow and I'll let everyone know the results.

I was not able to locate the A/C drain tube. Is it possible that the tube was removed from the outside of the car or could the tube be inside the car by mistake instead of being placed through the firewall? Since I could not locate the drain tube on the outside of the car, does this mean that I have to remove the dashboard in order to locate this tube?

It's outside the car. Here's a description (last post) on how to locate it: www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=551061
Here's a pic on a '95, not sure if its exactly the same: http://shbox.com/1/a_c_drain.jpg
