Scratched T-top... can it be buffed out?
I was putting my t-tops back on today, and I accidentally bumped my arm against the window, and nearly dropped the driver's-side top on the ground... anyways, the OUTER surface of the t-top hit the top of the window, and made a nice scratch in the shape of a giant 'L'... not the end of the world, but I REALLY want to find a way to repair this...
is there any way to buff this out? Is there some sort of coating on the outside, or is the tinting completely inside? Things like this HIGHLY aggrevate me... not sure why... I almost cried when I saw the scratch!!! now I'll just have to keep driving around with the tops off...
any suggestions? I really don't want to have to buy a new one, but if that's what it takes... seems silly if there is no way to polish/buff out this scratch... the scratch is barely noticeable with your fingernail... I find it weird that it even got scratched, because I thought that glass really didn't scratch itself... which got me thinking that maybe there was some kind of coating on the outer surface.... kinda scared now...
anyways, anything you guys can suggest will be real helpful... I might even swing by the body shop tomorrow just to see what they think...
Thanks!

the tinting is part of the glass, your lucky it didn't break. A glass shop might be able to polish it out
