    Amazing crash by drag racer Phil Lamattina

    Australian drag racer Phil Lamattina was competing in the Fuchs Winternationals on Saturday when his car suffered a massive chassis failure. His car basically folded in half, went airborne, then the back half of the car with Phil strapped in side landed hard and skidded down to the end of the track slowed by the parachute. Absolutely a testament to how they build in safety features that he survived. Video below.

    Wow.

    Since it happened at the 1000 ft mark, the car was probably traveling close to 300mph.

    Amazing that he received such minor injuries.
