..actually, they were talking about this on NRAnews yesterday, ..and it turns out that this probably isn't attributed to CCW (it's too soon to tell), but rather, because the Chicago PD is being accused of cooking the books on crime reporting because Mayor "Deadfish" has been taking ratings hit.. do a search for Chicago PD cooking the books on crime...

This. It's waaay too soon to attribute any new crime statistics to the new CCW laws. This article has a causation vs correlation issue going on. In two or three years you can probably draw some meaningful conclusions, although there will still likely be other factors that could influence the crime rates there.

More guns equals less crime in every state where CCW is legal. If you are a responsible adult in good standing with the law then you should be allowed to protect yourself.
